Born in Verona, Italy, in 1977, he discovered his passion for photography at a young age. His first camera was a family Polaroid, with which he captured flowers and plants in his garden, seeking their magic through the eyes of the child who, actually, is still alive within him.

The magic of that camera's instantaneous results shaped his vision, instilling in him a profound fascination with the immediacy of artistic creation.

In 2014, Stefano embarked on a life experience in Venice, a city that inspired both profound admiration and a healthy melancholy. In this unique city suspended on water, he lived and created for seven years, until 2021. That year, he moved to the shores of Lake Garda, a place that offered him an explosion of nature and beauty and a different atmosphere, which is now reflected in his works. His artistic style is a bold fusion of elements: the strength of the female figure, the delicacy of nature, and a vein of dark introspection. His photographs are often a dialogue between melancholic beauty and the intensity of the dark side, as in his body painting project "Heart in a Cage," where he portrays a woman with black tears and a heart torn by pain.

Stefano has an unconventional approach to nudity, which he considers not a taboo, but an ancestral form of pure natural expression. For him, the female body is a universe of marvelous forms, comparable in beauty and harmony to the leaves of trees or the waves of the ocean: pure nature, in its most authentic essence.

After a necessary pause to seek new motivations and inspirations, his recent works speak even more beyond the image.

The photographs, with their eroticism, convey messages that go far beyond the world of photography and delve into social and political issues. The combination of nudity and political message is a highly original form of expression that Stefano would like to explore further, so as not to limit his creations to beauty alone, but rather to use it to make the viewer reflect on the world around us, often in its harshest aspects.

my PROJECTS / series

REBIRTH

My project is about the search for origin and nature through the representation of femininity. It refers to a kind of spiritual and artistic rebirth. My intention is to strip away the unnecessary so that nothing remains but the essence, almost animal in its rawness, yet always carrying a soul.

In my photographs, I seek fetal-like positions to evoke the idea of rebirth, a return to the most essential state. The aim is to create images with poses that are deliberately similar to one another, set in unusual natural environments and featuring different models.

I like to dare, if that is the right word.

For example, the photo taken on the street was in many ways a little risky. Yet my intention is not to shock or surprise the viewer.

Rather, I hope that through my photographs I can positively provoke a shared awareness of the body in its nakedness—as something utterly natural and profoundly simple.

FLUID

Drawing inspiration from Pre-Raphaelite paintings, this concept was refined into a hyper-minimalist interpretation. Body and Water. Nature within nature.

To me, water embodies a powerful dichotomy.

Having survived a traumatic experience where I nearly drowned, I associate it with danger, anxiety, and claustrophobia. Yet, water is also a source of life—an ancestral symbol of internal renewal. This is the compelling contrast that I wanted to explore and capture in this series.

the NIHILIST

This collection is not merely a sequence of images, but an intimate and provocative journey into the human soul, especially my own, where I explore nihilism not as an ending, but as an existential condition and a starting point for a new social awareness, one that is sharply questioned here. Its raw style is meant to capture intense, authentic emotions.

The images form a silent dialogue between despair and the search for meaning in today’s existence, reflecting the inner struggle against the absence of predefined values.

The beauty of this collection lies in its brutal honesty. It offers no easy answers but raises difficult questions, inviting deep reflection on freedom, loneliness, and the possibility of building a sense of community in a world that seems to have lost it. Far from being destructive, this process is profoundly liberating.
